The primary objective of doing research at this  level is to instill a scientific mindset in the students. Research skills are increasingly seen as tools of the professional practice; not as something confined to academic research. Importantly, this perspective is not only shared with the students that work on the projects and dissertations, but also with the teachers that are supervising. Seminars. conferences, workshops, discussions etc. are coordinating in th institution so that teacher educators and student teachers benefit in their professional development.

Extension Activities aims at developing amongst students a sense of participation in nation building through Social Work. This deepens understanding of the social environment and enriches his/her personality through actual participation in day-to-day life of the society. This process of learning is not only a desirable supplement to the classroom education but develops in the student a sense of responsibility, tolerance and cooperation.

Students and teachers of Buddha organise a variety of programmes of service activities, community awareness programmes, remedial coaching and extension lecturers.
